Capabilities

The Staff at Douglas Aviation has experience with a large variety of airplanes and we know what those airplanes can and cannot do. From a family grocery getter to a heavy equipment workhorse, we've seen almost everything. It is our business to read the trade journals, and we'll be more than happy to do the research necessary to find what you are looking for.

Tell us what you want

Let's say your airplane's primary mission will be taking mama and the kids to grandma's house on the weekends. How many kids, how much stuff do you bring with you, and how far is it to grandma's? We will guide you to the plane that fills the bill without having to stop for gas twice on every trip, force you to decide what you can't take due to baggage limits or compel the insurance company to balk at the quote they gave you.

Tell us your price range

The latest and the greatest is going to come at a premium, but there are plenty of used airplanes in perfect working order for reasonable prices. Airplanes simply do not depreciate. As a rule, you can reasonably expect to break even on any purchase years later, including upgrades you had done. When your needs change, let us list your airplane for sale and set about finding you another one.  See what is for sale now here

We'll accompany you to the seller

While shopping, you will identify several prospect airplanes which, upon investigation, have some small problem such as incomplete documents or damage history you would rather not buy, or it will sell before you get the information you requested. When you do finally have one that's worth traveling to see, take a Douglas Aviation pilot with you to ask questions you may not think of, or listen for the seller sugar coating a problem that doesn't register with you. Another pair of eyes is always good.
